Background on Intemax

Intemax started life as Interhatch — a specialist supplier to the poultry industry, helping farmers boost the health, yield and profitability of their flocks. It made a name for itself by developing pioneering feed supplements to address nutritional gaps in commercial flocks, thereby improving digestion, immunity and overall vitality. Intemax has also developed products and services covering other areas critical to animal health, including water treatment and biosecurity. The company name recently changed to Intemax, reflecting a wider focus across intensive farming practices. This means that the dairy sector will now benefit from tailored products and services designed to boost health and resistance with targeted nutrition, pure water supply and effective biosecurity measures.

Sales & Marketing Director, Warwick Grinnell, commented: “Expanding our expertise into the dairy sector is a logical progression for Intemax — much like poultry, it’s a high yield sector where peak performance can only be achieved by focusing on optimum health and vitality, and that’s exactly in our wheelhouse at Intemax. We’ve built a reputation for responding to the needs of intensive farming by researching and developing nutritional solutions that work, helping farmers maintain water quality with treatments and on-farm support, and helping to prevent infection and disease with powerful biosecurity options. Ultimately, our goal is to help intensive farmers optimise their yield and profitability, and we really look forward to working with dairy farmers across the UK.”
